These were taken very early one morning while I was out for a walk around Bassenthwaite Lake which is only about 15 minutes from where I live.

Hi, thanks and yes I do feel lucky living here in the Lake District National Park. My photography is self taught (I bought a cheap 35mm Olympus slr about two months ago. It’s been a steep learning curve and I’ve got a long way to go). Your blog is brilliant and your wandering, free spirit attitude to life is fantastic. Good luck and happy travels! – John
