Wheat ripening in the evening sun.
We haven’t had what you would call a ‘summer’ here in the North of England this year. It’s been wet, very wet and as I’m sitting here yet another Atlanic low pressure system is blowing in, bringing gale force winds and torrential rain (oh joy). We have had seen the sun occasionally, but the signs of Autumn are all out there to see.

Strange summer, I think here in Sweden has been almost the same. We have had a couple of fairly nice weather though, from mid July to mid August, and now it’s just raining again, and cold….. Gah!
Looking forward to autumn colors and high blue clear skies!

‘Summer’ is a word that’s dropping out of my vocabulary. Replaced by ‘Mild Rainy Season’ (as opposed to ‘Cold Rainy Season’).

Thanks. The colours aren’t quite true to the original slide though – my scanner doesn’t do Velvia justice! Thankfully perspective and depth of field are unaffected!
