Hay Bale

Photographic print on fibre based paper.

Previously posted as a straight scan from negative here

As in the previous post the print has more contrast (I also did some burning in) but the detail in the trees has gone.

I think If I’d given this negative more exposure I could have kept both the contrast and the shadow detail.

      Thanks Steve. It needed the sky burning in as well as the bottom corners and the Hale bale was held back a bit but I’m still disappointed I couldn’t retain any detail in the trees. Thanks for commenting.

      Thank you. I’m going to try printing it again using the split grade technique. Just need to see if I can retain the shadow detail in the trees. I’ll post the results when I get round to it. Thanks for looking.
