Flower…

and my first attempt at developing my own film. Dust is the enemy!

Kodak T Max 100 developed in Ilfotec DD-X, 7 mins @ 20c

This flower grows just outside of our back yard. I’ve walked past it a million times but this one evening the light was slanting onto it in such a way that the flower head was illuminated but the foliage was in the shade. That’s one of the things I love about photography – being able to preserve a fleeting moment in time and what one day looks ordinary can be transformed the next. This flower hasn’t been lit the same way since and now it’s starting to die off.

  2. IThis looks like an interesting image. know what you mean about dust. Watermarks tend to be my enemy. I can manage fine with medium format film but 35mm are a real pain – my arms aren’t really long enough!
