Yes, really peaceful and there weren’t many people about at this time of the morning (0600). Thanks for looking and taking the time to comment.
On my screen the exposure is a little bit on the low side IMO. I like the way the tallest peaks blends ever so slightly into the sky. Great picture.
To be honest, when it comes to scanning and getting the tones right, I really struggle. I’m using a cheap flatbed scanner and a cheap laptop pc. On my screen the scan doesn’t look quite like the actual print, There’s more detail in the deep shadow areas on the print including some texture on the actual tree trunk. It’s difficult to convey how much better the print is than a low resolution digital file. Glad you like the picture though. Thanks.
Ah… OK. I didn’t know about that process, John. In that case the end result (the digital image) is quite fantastic, and I can only imagine how much better the original print looks.
Thanks. I’m a bit rubbish when it comes to technology. Probably why I still shoot film and print in a darkroom!
