Superb shot John…there is something about prints and film that digital can’t quite match

Thank you. I agree, film has something special and despite the inconvenience I enjoy the whole process from shooting to printing. Thanks for commenting. John

I call it ‘soul’. As good as a digital shot may be, I only see the image. With film, it feels like I’m seeing the image and the person who took it.

  2. Just a Beautiful photo John, lovely black and white image of the Lake’s 🙂

Thanks Nigel. I’m quite pleased with the print (9″x9″ on Ilford’s finest paper!) but it took some work to keep the shadow detail. Pan F was the wrong choice of film for such a contrasty scene.

Simply beautiful and remarquably precise, one can enter in there and feel full of peace. Thank you, Lou.
